Amigos @ St. Kilda

Went to Amigos mexican restaurant @ St. Kilda the other night with Gessie.
They claim to serve gourmet mexican inspired food and drinks.
But anyhoo they have 3 branches in Melbourne and we got ourselves a scoopon :D

I didn;t take pictures so I had to go and steal some from googles images.

for $40 bucks we got a jug of Sangria, two paella's and a sizzling chocolate brownie

One paella itself already costs $29 normally @_@

We got the chicken with chorizo and seafood combination. At first I was skeptical bout the portion size when the waiter told me that one paella each would be enough to make us full.

He was sure as hell right @_@.. they're really generous with the amount of meat they put in them. The seafood combination had really nice scallops, prawns and a realllly large king prawn I assume.

Should have ordered two seafood.

This was entertaining for the senses.
Homemade brownie topped with melted Spanish chocolate flavoured with Kahlua and served on a sizzling plate with vanilla ice cream.

So they pour the chocolate on a sizzling plate and it starts to bubble.. smells incredible like burnt chocolate/caramel. Then the hot chocolate and ice cream gives you that hot and cold effect on your palette which is fun.

All in all, I think the price is bit overrated but with a scoopon or any other deal it's definitely worth having a go.
We both left really full and satisfied.

Snowthie

don't you think they should have come up with a better name...
got the peanut and black sesame one
anything that has nuts in them, i'm sold.

pissy blur face as per usual

catch-up

yesterday i met up with Olivia my college friend like way back in 2007. lol epic how time flies.. makes me feel old! i really had heaps of fun catching up with herrr :D our original group shattered a long time ago. a couple of them went back home last year, some found other groups and some got themselves attached. You're oblivious if you think any group you make at school will stay.

So I recently got two new bottles. One insulated and one not.
I like to buy bottles like these, kinda grossed out using normal plastic bottles.

So anyhoo, if you've read my sigg post I tend to get extra caps o_o. So for this one I got an extra cap to make it look more retro, but i still prefer the sigg one. :\

I always wanted a thermos, think its cool. I got the 16oz insulated Klean Kanteen. It claims to be able to keep things hot for 4-6hours and stuff cold
for 24hrs? epic

Tried it out with coke and ice. The ice remained its shape for at least 6-7hrs. crazy!

For hot drink im not too sure, because after an hour it was still pipping hot. I had to open the cap and let it cool off a bit before drinking.

So yeah currently in love with a bottle.

Team Names

Team names created by other groups.

Spot Beyonce's Babes and Asian Avengers. I found it funneh.

CP is quite funny too. Since everyone picked HD they chose CP (conceded pass) its just 45-49mark lol.

Lock Fail

Did a random visit to the storage cage and realized how dumb the neighbour locked theirs.
I don't know if it was put like that on purpose?
maybe they're just hanging their locks there.
maybe they're trying to scare people psychologically with two locks.
The bottom picture is me demonstrating how the locks served no purpose...
(of course i did not take anything, I did close it back)

You still can open it normally

All they did was put two padlocks beside the handle... not safe
This is ours.

Had take away for dinner. Got a pad thai, crab meat fried rice and a deep fried pork shank.

I don't know how to explain to you the size of this pork shank. It's so big and tastes epicc... god. The inside is not really fatty but lean moist and niceeeee.

Even if there are boys in this world i still think girls end up doing the hard work
like opening the coconut..

Decided to add a picture of a waffle coz there was an extra space to add a picture. the waffle was guuuud.

Indulge

I'm quite a firm believer when it comes to indulging. Although I also believe that we should be thrifty and/or cheap when it comes to food. So what I'm trying to say is that once in a while I don't mind splurging on nom noms.

We went to Provenance Food + Bar @ Smith St

We got the chef's sharing plate consisting of cold meats, olives, bread and dip. We also got 3 small plates to share consisting of two little tiny pieces of pork belly, half a quail that's half the size of my fist and the smoked tuna. Thing about ang moh food that I don't like is how small the portions are -_-.

Since it was so little we ended up getting a main to share. Maybe I just developed a big appetite?
In total we ended up spending 80sth to be full  :\.

I lost an eye. And gessie lost half of her face.
Later headed to Brunswick St for some churros and hot chocolate, super cold.

3 Days

So basically i'm supposed to bleed from ma lady parts in 3 days.
Well that's only if it works.

If i don't then i guess im preggers? lol
i'll let you know in 3 days!

The red labeled part is supposed to be taken when you're having your period. Then you slowly spiral till you come back to the start. When you are in the red zone you take the white pills and the other days you take the yellow pills (hormones). So basically i've been taking the yellow pills for 3 weeks now... If it all goes to plan my vajayjay should be unleashing it's wrath on the first or second white pill.

Ain't this gross to read.

oh wellz.

Rant

Ah. I need a change. I'm so bored of this.

I need variation.

I don't wanna give a shit.

I wanna do what I wanna do.

I wanna go when I want to go.

I need to achieve more -_-.

I'm itching for change.

Lazy Food

Made pasta yesterday, got me thinking how it's one of my all time lazy foods.
You can create whatever concoction you want and still make it edible. o_o

I like to cook, makes me happy but being the sloth that I am, I tend to cook shit food for myself.
Only tend to cook nice stuff when it's for other people
or when it doesn't feel like a chore. (so demanding hey)

But lol, I know that when I have a family
that mentality will be the first
to fly out the window.

Manage to find a few others of my "lazy food" creations.

I know Gessie's lazy food is of course instant noodles.

I'm planing on compiling recipes that I usually make so that I can easily have something to fall back on later in life lol, sounds epic. Anyway, living with a second person makes cooking a responsibility.. :\
I keep going back and forth, like I know I like doing it but during those lazy days I feel like
the "responsibility" is too soon -.-
like there is this benchmark of expectations that I have to fulfill.

oh well, another day. got to take it as it is.

Chili Shit

Bet we all have chili shitted once in our lives.
It's when you shit and ass burn so bad at the same time.
Btw, that's that toilet paper cardboard tube after I finished chili diarrhea shitting.
was lazy to throw it in the bin so I decided to decorate the person still sleeping.

Yesterday I went to Rich Maha, the only authentic mamak place I found here at Melbourne so far. Like seriously the indians are like malaysian indians. lol.

anyhoo, the source of my pain is from Chicken 65.
don't know if any of you heard of it before, coz i haven't,
but you definitely will know it when you taste it.

Deep fried with so much cayenne pepper and dried chili, Nick shat straight away when he came back.

guess the taste is well worth the ass burning sensation. :\ i think.
getting a bit old. don't think my bowels can handle it
anymore.

Sebastian Krieg - Brooklyn (Russ Chimes Re-Hash) by Russ Chimes

russ chimes i adore.
he's so professional at what he does. pity that he doesn't get the credit that he deserves (yet).
the excitement he creates in his songs are erpic.especially for his midnight club mixes. i remember going ape shit all over it.

might not be liked by most of you.

so don't diss, coz we all know i have a shitastic sense of music.
maaf, bein defensive, traumatic past. got bullied and hurt. LOL. some of you should know this.

you know, i don't really get the people that say, "Oh, i don't like music without lyrics." or "Oh, i don't like music that's sung in another language". Firstly, I respect your opinion but it irritates me when people really rub it in your face through disgust or whatever means necessary. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the kind who will defend or even look remotely passionate about anything, it doesn't make me like you any less. But tone it down a little man.

To me and I'm sure many others as well view music as sound, rhythms, melodies which are meant to entertain, enlighten, express, emote emotion.. and the list goes on. Who said that it was purely lyrical?  It doesn't matter what shitastic genre a person likes (except for irritating people who pick genre's to stand out), it's still music that appeals to them. Get a grip man, be more open minded.

WAY HO

One of my fav's
"come on everybody say way ho!"
"WAY HO!"

"boom boom boom everybody say way ho"
She might not be as popular as Rebecca Black but
she definitely has more likes than her.

If you don't get why the video is funny other than her out of tune singing it's because the lyric is supposed to be "WAY OH" but she pronounces it as "WAY HOEE"
funny shizz.

what's there not to like about her?

You all should know this. I had fun guessing!

maxie is a great seller

Oh you guys didn't know?

Random Nom

So yesterday I was lazy to think of what to cook.
Gessie had just bought tom yum paste,
so what the hey lets have a steamboat.

Whipped out the induction stove and tried
to find whatever to ingredients. At first we were unsure whether we could get enough variety but
we ended up with a decent amount o_o

prawns, chicken, tofu, wombok, beans, dumplings, thai fish cakes

Learned that if you marinade the chicken with a little bit of chinese cooking wine will alter the texture of the chicken slightly. It becomes smooth and soft?

Thin and crispy nom
Since Gessie and I do most of the cooking Nick offered to make crepes for dessert this time.
