Custard Strawberry Trifles

So custard is made primarily of egg yolks.

There are two ways of making custard that is by baking or stirring. I decided to stand and stir my life away for 15 minutes. Decided to make custard because 1. I wanted to make it from scratch, 2. My friend mentioned about it the other day, 3. Reason to make it for my sisters birthday.

The strawberry trifles are made with strawberries, sponge fingers and custard.

Blend strawberries till smooth and mix them with the sponge fingers then layer the mixture with custard. Garnish with strawberry slices on top to make it look better which I haven't.

yum, was not bad. Made about 6 cups. Gave two to friend.

Blondies

So I decided to bake the other day. Well it wasn't a spur of the moment sort of thing. I actually wanted to bake or at least cook something for about a week already but couldn't because I was bombarded with tests and presentations.

I still have one final exam and presentation next week. Then freeeeeeeeeeeee.

Brownies without the brown, they're called blondies. Has peanut butter, pecans and white choco.

When you let something go to your head, you make such a fool of yourself that you don't even realize it. When you don't accept or see the advice people give, you only end up losing them.

Cake

I love cakes. I'm serious.
My first ever birthday post.
with pictures*

So yes, the big 2 0. It feels different to say that you're 20 when you're 19 than to say it when you're actually 20. You suddenly feel this certain responsibility to act a certain way and dress a certain way, well at least I think the community expects us to. But at the state we're currently living in I think no one gives a damn anymore.

Gessie got me this little Brunetti cake on the eve of my birthday. The reason that there's two little candles and one big '0' is because she couldn't find the '2' at the supermarket. She's the best.

Do you know that this is my first ever birthday blog post. The 5 years that I've been blogging I always decide not the blog about my birthday. don't know why o_o.

1st cake from Brunetti, Black Forest. Yummy.

Cake 2. Highlight of my night, Lindt cake from parents.

Chocolat Cerise

Our Black Forest Cake is crafted using the perfect balance of Kirsch infused cherries, rich dark chocolate cake & the sweetness of vanilla cream all encased by a dark chocolate glaze & finished with perfect Lindt chocolate curls.

Cake 3. Thank you Tony! Was bought for the night we went out for group dinner.

Taro cake, good, there's still some in the fridge. n_n

And lastly, Lindt chocolates that stingy Wesley gave. Was shocked and equally grateful that he went and spent money hehe very sweet. Tight pride!

Stalked

So we studied together but in our own separate booths and suddenly I felt something hit me. It was a receipt folded many times to form a small rectangle. I was pissed and went, "Wtfack, who threw the paper at me?". After finding out that Wesley was responsible I unfolded it only to find this written on it. zzz. If only you understand.

Ballarat

So I went to Ballarat during the what? 3 days off that I had after my exams. It was actually suggested by my friend to get away for a night, get away from the city, away from Melbourne. So it was not so much sightseeing and whatever tourists do. It was purely to relax and bum in the hotel room.

It was colder than Melbourne, 5degrees. Manh I remember how stressed I was to end up here. The finals really made me stressed out, I felt I did so bad during the exams and if I failed 2 subjects I couldn't qualify for the Summer Term. So to be just walking around the town was a breath of fresh air for me, calm :).

Stayed at Heritage on Lydiard Street, got the $190 room? got bunked up to the executive suite when we got there wohoo. Fancy.

Check out ma white shoe-sies. Manly.

Hallway.

People who decided to ruin my picture. -.-.

End result.

Long black anywhere, everywhere.

Managed to catch a movie at their old skool cinema.

Train station. I like.

To be honest, the trip I was only looking forward to watching the tv and complementary movies that came together with it. I was stuck watching Nickalodeon and Discovery Travel and Living. haha. Not to mention room service. It was a good runaway from the real world.

Presentation II

So yes, my presentation has come and gone. I was nervous like mad as usual but in the end it was alright. For some reason all the groups presenting clumped over the other side hence all the black. Everyone looked so smart!

Vaining before the presentation, it was at 630 and I was so nervous I couldn't study, all I did was rehearse my lines. I had to study because my exams were next week.

Taken before I got drenched in rain on the way walking to the train station. Sad day for presentation, rained the whole evening. It made me even more nervous, scary okay bad omen.

Bling for the night.

Doris and Alice, and my overgrown hair. First session presentation, was there to just watch.

Kev and his last minute $200 suit.

Spot Eunji, most first session groups didn't dress so formal.

Wohoo, goodbye semester.

Sushi Burger

Sushi Burgers. It was quite nice.

The rice isn't as much as the ones on display.

I got the salmon teriyaki, was good and they put them in like this pocket which will stop it from breaking apart and causing a mess.

Only thing I don't like is that it's quite pricey and it doesn't really make you full. Prices range from $3.50-$8.50.
