Oil-Boat

The original plan was to have a small steamboat for dinner.
But it all died when we became lazy to look for the soup base.;D
so we decided to have an oil boat.


hmm ...?


start of with whatever you feel like frying. This case, calamari, tofu and crabstick.


then you fry.


after frying like one tofu and calamari,found out that phwa's house didn't have chilly sauce. Had to stop everything and go to 7/11. Gessie loves the cup.


It gets sooo gross later. lol, smell of oil lingering everywhere. Even had to use loads of tissue to sponge off the oil. arteries clogging. Never having oil-boat again. lol.


we had several casualties. like setting the wrong temperature a few times =_=. oil exploding around the kitchen and burnt the food that was put inside. So i decided to make a chart!. To your left are the burnt food, middle just right and far right are the raw uncooked ones.

after oil boat.. i didn't feel like eating fried stuff for a few days. so gross.
so moral of the story is, don't do it. lol but it was fun full of stupidness that day.

Road Side Eats

went for lok lok near old cathay cinema or soon lee restaurant.


50cents per stick. It's an olddd stall -_- I remember when i was little when i couldn't even put the stick into the pot cause i was too short. Look at one sakai fella hand that wants to stab my head.

And and, i don't get the lady in the picture. She was wearing a green summery dress with heels and her hair all done ... She dressed up just to come eat at a road side stall? with her whole family. dududu ~

then walked to nearby leng teh and herbal jelly stall at an alley just before soon lee.
leng teh ... cooling tea? wth? herbal tea.


fun, that this way of eating is still alive. Only at Taiping. so nostalgic!.

i went "jogging"! with long time friends. =)

Was explaining how china people squat with their feet all flat on the ground and how comfortable it is to them. So we squatted/hid from from others that haven't arrived. I took some time to get used to that squat -_-, used to squatting with weight all on toes.

Suprised and shocked when i saw her. I always ask about her but never got to see her, only way i can is like go to smdb?.

I don't know why but i miss her like lots ?_?, maybe its because of her character, damn noisy, small in size, always lets me get off with eating talking and crap in class because she was the class monitor. HAHA, and the best part is she lets me copy her homework ... like automatically. OMG nishan <3.

Oct 11th

Today i had a facial.

Today i watched Eagle Eye for the third time ... .
(yes i am sick of it, but still a good movie i want others to watch it.)

Today i had my favourite mee rebus goreng.

Today i saw a family of wild boars! father mother and like a dozen of lil baby boars in the middle of the road. lol, usually see one or two, i've never seen so many before!

But i'm like =-= ugh. I will be flailing my arms like a crazy person asking my younger sister to take them off for me. need more practice, anyway i noticed for a long time that there's this brown spot on the white part of my eyeball which has been there for a long time.

I only started to think whether it could be harmful to me after gessie told me that she has this black spot on her eyeball as well. But her black spot is like connected to the end of a nerve. Mine is just a brown splat. :\ hmm...

Okonomiyaki

made okonomiyaki's for dinner


really simple. 1/2 flour, 1/4 dashi, 1 egg, salt + ingredients.


when done we scrambled for our own condements to put on our okonomiyaki, and God knows how in the world we ended up with SO MANY in 15secs -__-

So many things to eat, i'm actually quite afraid to wake up in the mornings to be honest. I roll around the bed for sometime before i get up because i know if i go out i have to eat -_-. Forced to eat/want to eat the food.

Church

So i've been home lately, happy savouring various hawker food that i've parted with for so long, cheap and so yummy lor =D. Finally with shorts and a t-shirt on and not JEANS, so far it's easy going. Going matang tonight. seafood seafood seafood. Makes me feel so excited ahaha knowing that i will have a number of dishes to choose from. ahahaa!.

okay i sound like a sad person with no life.

Anyway, i was forced, can i say force? because i was left with no other options besides "Sleep early today, tomorrow you have to wake up early to go church". My only reaction was "ughhh =-=". Before sleeping my mind was trying to think of ways to fight boredom during tomorrow's service. It sounds bad though for me to be thinking that way but i guess it's a personal thing.

Maybe still questioning religion?. Maybe it's just too straight for me?, the way the person preaches as though the world revolves around the holy book the whole "It's my way or the highway baby". I have nothing against people who believe, i do believe as well. I just, i guess want to question more. Can't just tell me to do that and this without an explanation =_=.

Sooo, i went to church with my parents, it has been like more than 10 years since we actually went to church together. The akwardnesss, i went in, sat together, sang songs that i didn't know and had to look at the projector while the rest were singing their hearts out where i could see that they had so much passion for christ ... eyes closed and hands up high. sigh. After much singing, the pastor started his service? by welcoming those who are new and also returning attendants. He was reading out their names through what i saw was a piece of paper, i felt safe -_-. But, off course no. He called my name, bah and i had to stand up and smile to so many familiar but already distant faces. Many of which have aged or got a new haircut.

Just trying to keep a low profile of my coming back -_-, which turned out a bit bad.

But anyway, still loving it. My dad cooks great! just had lunch at home and am now sipping on homemade chrysantimum tea~. Something so normal that i never had before i left for college and all the years of my life.

cupcakes

The moment i got in the car after my parents picked me up from the airport. My sister handed me this box.

At first i thought lol, they think that i'm really psycho over mooncakes that they took the whole box for me to see it just to feel happy. But nah it wasn't =(. It was something equally better and it really struck me by suprise!.


My sister made me welcome banana cupcakes. <3.

Annual Cake

Jessica was really nice to make me a cake the night before i left. She was like "take it on the plane!!", yes i did i stuffed it in my backpack. She makes rather nice cakes that i always scoff down. They're usually always edible.

I was eating at Rose Garden at the City with my sis and Sam before going to the airport. Then jessica came with tzup! to pass me the cake. Was rather sad though to say my goodbyes to them like that. Talk talk hug hug goodbye, my sister was calling me from the inside of the restaurant twice, asking me whether i was still coming in to eat the food because they were going to push them out lotsa customers.


Anyway, just last year she made the same form of cake for me during my birthday. This is some chocolate orange tart, damn nice. The first picture above is some chocolate brownie, with egg whites, apple sauce, chocolate and no butter because she knows i'm a health freak.<3.

First and Last of the year

Went out to eat with Nick and Jeann after their last exam on Monday.

Decided to go to Your Thai on swanston street and realised that we went there to eat the first time we three went out together and now its the last time before we went home.

After watching Eagle Eye, oh i was constantly falling asleep in the movie. Three lazy bumming people. Anyway, watch Eagle Eye so goood.


We walked to Docklands all the way from the city then to Southern Cross and back to pack.


Tuesday, treated Jessica for dinner at Shark Fin house. I was so in the mood for steamed fish that day, ordered a barramundi that looks so ugly. But we sapu-ed the whole fish until there was nothing left.

After dinner, went shopped for stuff to bring back to Malaysia the sweets the chocolates the weird instant noodles. Then we just hung out talked till my last train arrived lor. <3.

trapped

Was shopping the other day and tried on this dress it was on sale for $30, it looks okay abit matured but i couldn't make up my mind. In the end i didn't get it, dresses will never go away. Will get it when i find one i really love.

you can see i'm packing on chubbs. my exam fats.

Time

Oh blog how time flies. 8 months have passed.
Everyday i anxiously wait for the last day of the month to tear off the page of my calendar and stack them like this. It makes me happy to feel one step closer and proud that i got through the month.

Today's different though. I only have to wait 1 more day before i fly.

Mixed emotions flow. Those 8 pages represent my personal walk conquered this year. The highlighted days and strokes on those papers i remember, the good the bad and the friendships formed.

i have no idea why this time i feel stressed abit to go home. actually i do know why.

marketing pals

Last Sunday went out with marketing friends. Two of them were from my class and hanged out with their group all 6 of us.

They were not bad to hang out with.
But i had much to comment about lol.

watched a movie, did much shopping and eating a whole day affair. I took them to wonton house at russel and we all had porridge haha, big bowl of wan tan soup and spicy squid tentacles. Eveything that i usually order!..
