re-invent. collage/rayogram

This time my assignment was about collages and rayograms. We had to incorporate that into making a magazine cover. Basically its like taking bits and pieces of pictures to make an artwork that blends. I started drawing these =_= hoping to for some ideas.


What i hate is that, our magazine title has to be that picture above. we CANNOT change the font and CANNOT change the size -_-. Oh and the magazine is an Environmental magazine, which explains the globe and recycle logo.



Anyway, i ended up simply making something up. I feel bad-_- because i started late, i just had to stick to whatever idea i thought of first, which was education. I made so many versions its not FUNNY. So many little things that you don't realise makes so much difference. like the line that seperates my words.

wall design

this time had 3 choices to choose from, either design a bottle, tattoo or wall. I choose the wall. Was unsure whether to pick the tattoo or wall. I was lacking in ideas so badly =_=. This time i had no vision, had to play around alot before i got to the end result.

You know i started of with a tree and an elephant... i don't know how i ended up with the city skyline. :\ I was putting the elephants on the tree, wanted to make an elephant tree.


what do you think i'm trying to say in this design?

It's supposed to be depicting two different views that a city dweller might feel.
One side dull serious work while the other is fun and happening. Both connected to that person's life. whatever. =_=


Sorta simple, but o_o i hate it looking complicated ... but i'm scared that i get marked down for it =(. Anyway, we had to write like descriptions and like a short essay on how we came up with that design, the inspirations and so forth. And even present our research material.

Chess Poster

My second Digital Imaging assignment. Supposed to draw an A3 sized Chess Poster with at least 3 chess pieces. I have this knack for just using simple colors. =_= i guess i like it simple.

I hope i score equally well as my previous assignment the one with the fans ;D.
Next week were ditching illustrator and over to photoshop!.

Today, i survived wednesday. I haven't slept since last night, but i did take an hour nap from 8-9. I was rushing to finish two assignments last night, crazeeey. During my afternoon class i was even role playing(class activity). Marketing class was fun today, talked alot but then i was practically dozing off to sleep at the end.

Our cafeteria's and common rooms have 42inch panasonic plasma tv's installed for us to watch the olympics, syok.

My fan

Let me introduce you to my first fan.
I spent like 40 minutes drawing this stupid fan on illustrator CS3.
40 minutes can, how noob can i be =-=. My excuse is that i was trying different styles to suit my theme.

if you can >< see i drew 4 inverted rising suns. based on the japanese flag.

The fan is only a small part of my mandala.
I have to draw three -_-.


erm okay. currently its crap. still brainstorming. actually no, i'm having a what you call ... creativity block? o-o, that's why i'm here blogging right now.

What's funny is that, i know that i am dirty when doing work in real life, but i didn't know i could be so virtually messy as well. okay it's not funny after all.

The first picture i loved was the fan's~ and in this picture i love the fishes, and among the small fishes there's a big fish.


on a totally random note, i just got this book hopefully it will arrive this friday =D. Based on the true crime story on the theft of the $72 million masterpiece by Edvard Munch, 'the scream'.

Bak Chang

Instead, i nearly went crazy while waiting for it to boil.
ok. i tend to exaggerate.
Anyway, thats the pot we used to boil the chong's. Had to boil three batches.
We had 55 chongs in total.

However, one perished during the boiling procedure, resulting in a total of 54 chong's.


Tunes from my comp accompanied us while we were figuring out how to wrap the damn chong -_-.

To be really honest. I hate wrapping. I can't even wrap a proper present. I get people to do them for me, just feel that its so insignificant like that(i got it from my mamaa~). So yeah, when wrapping the chong it was rather straining for me -_-.

i was like spastic.



My sister fried the filling and i fried the rice.
I followed 'Guest''s tip and yeah i tried not to over fry the rice.
thank u for the tip btw ;D.

While frying the rice and meat, we needed to add like osyter sauces and other crap.
I suddenly remembered my chemistry practical teacher saying, "Chemistry practs are like cooking, if you can cook, you can do chem easy as that.".

In a way its true, but i found myself being so -_- meticulous?. Every measurement has to be so precise like 4 tablespoons equals 4 tablespoons, but my sister just goes by guess.

Off course what! If you don't measure properly during experiment, your results come out wrong!. RIGHT.

But i think it looks like an alien in that pict. So i put beep beep* to confuse people thinking into that its a phone, then i don't know why i added the butterfly to confuse people even more. Now it looks like some rexona/carefree bak chang advertisment. :\


taste wise its orite. I'm already happy that its edible really..

pardon me for my amateur-ness =_=, my first try.

it wasn't my actual vision, but hey when you want to draw a duck you end up with a giraffe. But still it was the duck that prompted you to start drawing. ;D
