never in my life heard bout this till the day before i left for malacca. like seriously =_=, didn't know that it was that old and popular.
Bought lotsa stuff back for my cousins and parents. I got the durian cake, i finished like 1 1/2 big sticks alone already. am practically diabetic.
oh i even saw it here at melbourne for like $5 bucks for the dodol so rip off!.
This shop was on jonker walk too. Supposedly popular, started off with a bicycle to a stall and now this. o_o the night we had dinner, pei hwa bought back one box for the house to share and the next day we had 10boxes in the car, requested by them.
i guess they bake them right outside their shop everyday. Not only do they sell pineapple tarts, they also sell apple and taro? and other stuff i don;t know, you can actually see it on the banner in the picture.
